Nura Atelier was founded in Dubai in 2019 by designer Nura Al-Rashidi, with a singular mission: to redefine what it means to wear an abaya. Inspired by the rich textile traditions of the Gulf and the clean architectural lines of modern design, each piece is a meditation on elegance, identity, and faith.
Every abaya in our collection is cut from hand-selected fabrics sourced directly from mills in Italy, Japan, and the UAE. Our in-house atelier in Dubai handles all finishing by hand — from the seed-pearl embellishments on our Luxury line to the precision-pressed pleats of our Classic collection.
We believe modest fashion is not a limitation — it is its own language of beauty. Nura Atelier exists to give that language its finest expression.
We work exclusively with natural and semi-natural fibres: Japanese crepe, Italian linen, silk chiffon, and premium nida. Every garment is lined, every seam finished, every button chosen with intention.
Our standard lead time for made-to-order pieces is 7–10 working days. Rush orders are available for select styles — contact us directly to enquire.
We ship worldwide from Dubai via DHL Express. Standard delivery: 3–5 business days. Orders over $150 ship free. Unworn items in original packaging may be returned within 21 days of receipt — contact our team for a return label.
Velvet Open Abaya — Absolutely stunning. The fabric is so soft and the fall is perfect. I wore it to an engagement party and received so many compliments. The craftsmanship is unmatched — you can tell every detail has been considered. Will definitely be ordering the Crystal Trim next.
Midnight Linen Abaya — My third order from Nura Atelier and they never disappoint. The linen is cool and breathable — perfect for summer here in Riyadh. Shipping was fast, packaging was beautiful, and the abaya fits exactly as the size guide said it would.
Sage Linen Abaya — Lovely quality but I found it runs slightly long — I'm 5'3" and needed to have it taken up by about 3cm. That said, the colour and drape are beautiful, and the customer service team was incredibly helpful when I reached out. Would still recommend and would order again.
